Picanto X-Line adds rugged styling to Kia's baby

Kia has launched the new X-Line version of its popular Picanto supermini. Aiming for the same market as the Vauxhall Viva Rocks, Dacia Sandero Stepway and Suzuki Ignis, the Picanto X-Line offers rugged styling details – albeit without any real off-road prowess.

The X-Line additions bring the Picanto in line with Kia's SUV range – the Stonic, Sportage and Sorento – and makes for a distinctive look on-road. On-road is certainly where it's going to stay, as despite extra ground clearance, the Picanto X-Line is not an off-roader. It remains stubbornly front-wheel drive and the dinky wheels wouldn't be up to the rough stuff.
