Guests were heard screaming and fled from the scene as the unwelcome visitor interrupted the celebrations on Wednesday.

According to the Times of India, the tiger went on to attack a woman in the village of Sundartola, 600km away.

Shantabai Zingru Karkade was attacked when she went to the toilet. She has been admitted to a hospital in Tumsar.

According to the Daily Mail, forest officials said the tiger is not afraid of humans and is attracted to light.

They added that its behaviour is "unusual" and that it "is possible that it has been pushed out of its territory by a younger tiger".
