Thailand says goodbye to King at funeral a year after his death

Hundreds of thousands of Thais took to the streets of Bangkok on Thursday for the funeral and cremation of their late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Over an estimated 300,000 people wore black to pay tribute to their beloved king, nearly a year after his death at the age of 88.

The King is especially revered in Thailand and the country has been in official mourning since his death, with the funeral service costing an estimated $90million.

The monarch's body had been lying in state at the Grand Palace since his death.
