All-new Nissan Leaf goes on sale from £26,490

The best-selling pure-electric car in the world has just undergone a major revamp to enable it to keep pace with an ever more impressive roster of rivals. The new Nissan Leaf is faster and more stylish than the outgoing car, but crucially offers more range from a larger battery pack.

The old Leaf's distinctive styling was great for aerodynamics, but feedback from buyers has led Nissan to redesign the new car with a more conventional look. Elements of the new Micra have been bought in, including a pointed nose, V-motion grille and floating rear pillar.
Under the skin though, the Leaf is far from the Micra. Instead of petrol and diesel engines, the Leaf packs a 40kWh battery and 147bhp electric motor.
