Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo estate gets a hybrid option
The Panamera Sport Turismo just got a bit greener thanks to an all-new plug-in hybrid version.
Called the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo, it is powered by a turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine mated to an electric motor. This combination develops 671bhp and has a staggering 850Nm of torque.
Together this propels the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo from 0-60mph in just 3.2 seconds, and on to a top speed of 193mph.
However, as fast and powerful as this car is, its mainstay is that it's a hybrid. As such it can do a combined 94.2mpg – not bad for a V8-engined car.
Other than bright green hybrid badges dotted across the car, along with matching brake calipers, there are no other signs this is a hybrid. It still retains the good looks of a standard Sport Turismo and has the same luxurious interior, too.
It uses the Porsche-famed PDK double-clutch gearbox system too, and has very distinctive exterior looks that will make it look like a performance car. These include a turbo body kit, 21-inch alloy wheels, LED lighting and its neat three-piece folding rear wing.
It still has practicality as an estate car too. Thanks to a capacious 425-litre boot and 20/40/20 split folding rear seats, it has up to 1,295 litres of potential luggage space making it almost van-sized.
The car is available to order now or configure online with prices starting from £140,868. Tick some of the options, including special paintwork and this could easily be a £150,000 car.
