Selena Gomez has a kidney transplant
American celebrity Selena Gomez has revealed she underwent a kidney transplant over the summer.
The singer/actress praised her friend Francia Raisa for donating a kidney as part as her ongoing battle with Lupus.
The former child star, 25, first publicly revealed her lupus diagnosis back in 2015.
Sharing a hospital photo of herself and Raisa on Instagram, Gomez wrote: "There aren't words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa.
"She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me. I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis."
