Rare Ferrari 599 GTB goes on sale for £510,000
If you want a new Ferrari 488 GTB, the Italian brand will happily take £183,000 of your money. The new 812 Superfast? £253,000. But these are absolute bargains compared to this 2007 Ferrari 599 GTB, which is listed on eBay for an eye-watering $659,500 – around £510,000.
Of course, it has to be a pretty special 599 to command such a price premium, and the ad certainly doesn't disappoint – promising that the car is utterly immaculate, fully documented, and 'the nicest example available anywhere'. Not that there are many available – this car has a manual gearbox, which makes it one of only 29 ever built with three pedals.
As the Ferrari flagship of the period, before being replaced in 2013 by the F12berlinetta, the 599 GTB rocks a 6.0-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine. That pushes out 612bhp and 607Nm of torque, enough to shift the car from 0-62mph in just 3.7 seconds. It goes on to a top speed of over 205mph. Make no mistake, despite being a decade old, this is still an incredibly fast and powerful car.
Sold new by Ferrari of Ontario in 2007, the car is resplendent in the correct shade of Rosso Corsa red. It presents extremely well, with a carbon fibre interior pack and carbon seats in black and red leather. Pride of the interior simply has to be the gorgeous gated manual shifter, though.
The 20-inch Challenge wheels with red brake calipers complete the exterior, while a set of parking sensors should prevent you from dinging those Pininfarina-styled bumpers when parking.
If you want to get your hands on this car, you'll have to move quickly. The classified ad only has a day left to run – barely enough time to wire the required £510,000 from your Swiss bank account.
