Man charged with planning terror attack near Buckingham Palace
A man has been charged with a terror offence after he was arrested near Buckingham Palace armed with a 4ft sword, Scotland Yard said.
Mohiussunnath Choudhury, 26, from Luton, has been charged with engaging in the preparation to commit an act or acts of terrorism on Constitution Hill on August 25.
Three police officers suffered minor injuries after he allegedly drove a car at officers outside Buckingham Palace and then reached for a 4ft sword shortly after 8.30pm on Friday. He will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court later on Thursday.

Choudhury allegedly aimed a blue Toyota Prius at a marked police vehicle, and repeatedly shouted "Allahu Akbar" before he was incapacitated with CS spray.
The Metropolitan Police said they believe he was acting alone.
On Wednesday the force said a 30-year-old man arrested in west London on Sunday, who was questioned by counter-terrorism police investigating the incident, will face no further action.
It is understood that no members of the Royal Family were in Buckingham Palace when the attack happened in the restricted area in Constitution Hill.
