Incredible award-winning wine for just £6.50
The International Wine Challenge has revealed its pick of the best value wines for under £15 - and one stunning winner will set you back just £6.50. The Morrisons bottle goes to show that you don't have to spend a fortune in order to get your hands on a brilliant wine.

Morrisons actually picked up two of these prestigious awards - the IWC Great Value Champion White 2017 was awarded to The Morrisons Best Rioja Reserva Blanco 2011 - at just £6.50. The judges said it was perfect for summer - with a complex blend of refreshing citrus fruit, stone fruit, and rich burnt almond.
Meanwhile the Great Value Champion Fortified wine title went to a sherry from Morrisons: the Best Palo Cortado NV - at £5.
The Great Value Red was a bit pricier - the Ringbolt Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, which costs £12.99 from Tesco. The judges said it was already delicious - with rich cocoa aromas and dark plum and blueberry notes. However, they also added that it would improve with age, so might be worth stocking up for the future too.
The Great Value Rosé, meanwhile, was right at the top of the price bracket - The Château La Gordonne Vérité du Terroir Rosé 2016 available from Ocado for £14.99.

The UK wine trade is thriving and the fact that you can find such fine wines for reasonable prices is testament to that. If you spot any one of these winners, I would recommend you snap it up – they are sure to fly off the shelves."
Winners for less
If you keep your eyes peeled, there are a number of cheaper wines that crop up in these posh awards. Aldi is home to some of cheapest that have been spotted by the judges - and it's currently selling seven of them for under £5.
These include: JC Mas 'Classic' Grenache Noir and JC Mas 'Classic' Organic Blanc - both of which were Commended by the IWC, and are currently just £4.99; Toro Loco Superior, which was also commended and costs just £3.89, Cambalala S.African Sauvignon Blanc, which was awarded a bronze medal by the IWC and costs £3.89, Estevez Chilean Pinot Noir, which won silver and costs £4.79; Animus Vinho Verde, which won silver and costs £4.99; and Toro Loco Organic Red, which picked up a bronze award from Decanter and costs £4.99.
At these prices, it's hard to imagine how they can deliver exceptional award-winners - but then again, at these prices, you're not really risking anything by trying them either.
