Tourist falls into boiling hot spring at Yellowstone

A21-year-old man is in critical but stable condition after falling into a hot spring at Yellowstone National Park.

The man was with seven other people when he fell into the hot spring and suffered severe burns.

The spring was located in the lower geyser basin near the iconic Old Faithful geyser.

He was airlifted to the hospital after he was taken by ambulance to West Yellowstone, Montana.

Park spokeswoman Morgan Wharton says the incident still under investigation.

Temperatures in the hot springs can reach over 199 degrees Fahrenheit.

Last year officials say one man fell to his death in a hot spring that was over 212 degrees.
