Egyptian Museum of Berlin reclaims artefact looted during WW2

During World War II, Berlin's Agyptisches Museum lost a number of important ancient works to looters. One of those objects was recently returned.

For years, the piece, a portion of a 13th-century glazed funerary slab was housed at the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology in Michigan, USA.

It was gifted to the institution in 1981 by an ancient Egypt enthusiast who acquired the object from a collector.
