Overjoyed dog rescued after spending a week on a cliff

This gorgeous dog was happy to see solid ground after spending a whole week trapped down a cliff.

Rescuers rappelled down the steep surface to reach the pooch, named Mickey, according to the Gold Coast Bulletin.

Temperatures each night had nearly reached freezing and there were grave fears for Mickey's survival.

Residents of Currumbin Valley heard yelping during the week, alerting authorities to the stranded creature.According to the Bulletin, Mickey enjoyed a well-earned meal after her rescue.
