Newlyweds Pippa Middleton and James Matthews have begun their honeymoon on an exclusive Pacific island - and unsurprisingly bookies are predicting the patter of tiny feet.

The couple reportedly jetted on to the island once owned by Hollywood star Marlon Brando after travelling via Los Angeles where they were spotted in an airport terminal.

Their destination was Tetiaroa, a tiny paradise atol thousands of miles south of Hawaii which was once a summer residence for the chiefs and kings of Tahiti.

It is thought Pippa, the younger sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, and her husband are staying at the Brando, dubbed the most luxurious eco-friendly resort on the planet which is costing them around £3,000 a night.

With Meghan Markle making an appearance at the couple's wedding dinner - but not the marriage service - speculation has mounted that Prince Harry and his US actress girlfriend will be next down the aisle.

They reportedly sat apart during the evening event lavishly staged in a glass marquee at the Middleton family home in the Berkshire village of Bucklebury.

But her appearance will encourage the belief held by many royal watchers that the Queen's grandson will pop the question to his partner.

William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams said: "Harry would not have wanted to rain on Pippa's parade by getting engaged before her big day.

"But the diary is clear and we believe there is every chance he will get down on one knee."

With the sound of wedding bells still in the air, the bookies have shortened the odds on Harry proposing to Meghan and an engagement being announced from 3-1 to 2-1.

The firm also believe a baby for the newlyweds is not too far away with William Hill offering odds of 2-1 Pippa has a child by the first anniversary of her wedding.
