Teenage moped gang use fire extinguisher in an attempt to steal motorcycle
The terrifying moment a gang of teenage moped riders used a fire extinguisher to steal a 58-year-old's motorcycle has been caught on camera.
The incident occurred in Ilford, east London, where the man was riding his motorcycle before being surrounded by three pairs of teenagers on scooters and sprayed in the face by a high-powered fire extinguisher.
The blast is enough to send the biker crashing to the floor, but the gang of thugs were unable to snatch his bike and flee the scene.
All the while, the victim's helmet cam continues to record the harrowing incident, which occurred last month.
Two 15-year-olds and a 16-year-old were arrested and subsequently released in relation to the incident, but the Metropolitan Police say inquiries are ongoing.
Detective Sergeant Dean Grafton told The Daily Mail: "We are appealing for any information as to the identity and whereabouts of this gang that are clearly targeting motorcyclists in the east London area.
"They are often seen in pairs on mopeds or scooters and with a fire extinguisher to distract their victim with a view to stealing the motorbikes.
"If anyone has recorded video footage of the group, please contact us".
