Airport brings in therapy horses to cheer up travellers

The Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport is trying to make travelling more pleasant by bringing in miniature therapy horses.

The airport is teaming up with the nonprofit organization called Seven Oaks Farms in hopes of cheering up travellers and airport employees.

They told NPR the goal is to "ease anxiety levels and make people smile".

A few of the many horses will drop by the airport twice a month to connect with kids and give adults a bit of peace of mind before travelling.

Other airports, like San Francisco International, have been using this technique in their own way with different animals, including pigs.

When the miniature horses from are not at the airport they're doing activities like visiting retirement communities or helping kids enjoy reading time.
