Weird superstitions around the world
Every country and culture has unique qualities, from cuisine to traditions and even superstitions.
But some superstitions are more bizarre than others, here are some of the most unusual.

InBrazil, it's bad luck to let a purse touch the floor because it will make you poor.
In China, you should never leave chopsticks upright in a bowl of rice, it resembles incense sticks and it's also the way rice is offered to the dead.
InDenmark, breaking dishes on a friend's doorstep at the New Year is said to indicate luck in friendships.
In Thailand, wearing a 'palad khik' (a penis amulet) will protect you or increase luck when gambling.
In Korea, it's considered bad luck to write names in red ink. A name written in this colour associates that person with death.
In Spain (and some other countries), eating 12 grapes on New Year's Eve, one for each chime at midnight will bring in good luck in the New Year.
In Ireland, it is said that if your nose itches you will be in a fight.
