Man caught stealing money from wishing pond in Colchester

Park rangers marched off a man believed to be stealing money from a wishing pond during an early morning operation.

It comes after it was revealed that patrols around Colchester Castle Park in Essex were being stepped up by rangers in response to a number of complaints by a resident.

The concerns centred on a man apparently using an extendable pole with a magnet on the end to pick up coins from the popular Imola pond.

The footage shows the man fishing around in the water and appearing to pull things out before he's stopped by the official.
