Octopus refuses to let go of diver's hand

The beautiful moment an octopus befriended a diver wrapping its tentacles around her hand, has been caught on camera.

The footage, shot last month off the coast of Tenerife in the Canary Islands, Spain, shows the octopus carefully approaching the diver after having 'eyed her out' she said.

"I still wonder what it wanted to express to me," the diver wrote online.

"I have always been fascinated by octopuses, their intelligence and their strange anatomy."
