Teenage boy dies of gunshot wound in east London

A teenage boy has been shot dead in east London.

Murder detectives are investigating after the boy, believed to be in his mid-teens, was found in Roebourne Way, North Woolwich.

Officers were called shortly before 11pm on Friday to reports of shots fired, and the boy, who had a gunshot injury, died at the scene.

A man aged in his early 20s was found later with a gunshot injury in nearby Claremont Close.

He is in a stable condition in hospital.

No arrests have been made and police have appealed for information.
