A London tube worker got his head caught in the doors of a carriage on the Central Line at St Paul's.

The incident occurred just after the morning rush hour and the footage shows just how busy the station was at the time.

According to the Standard the TfL employee had stepped onto the train to check it was empty after a fault was found on board.

Lily Smith, who was on the platform, told the Standard: "London Underground workers were checking the carriages were empty, whilst telling everyone to stay away from the doors.

"There was obviously some miscommunication between the workers, then the doors shut, I heard a roar of laughter from passengers on the platform and saw his head stuck in the door."

A witness said it took around 10 minutes for him to be freed and TfL confirmed that no one was injured during the incident.
