Being too nice can be bad for you
Being the nice person has its advantages.
But is being 'too nice' a problem?
Being generous and doing good deeds helps our mental wellbeing and makes us feel good about ourselves, and it has a positive impact on social relationships, too. Researchers say that altruism, or being unselfish, gives people a higher satisfaction with life and happiness and a sense of purpose in life.

But there's being nice, and then there's being "too nice".
Trying to make everybody happy all the time can take its toll.
For a start, it can be exhausting. And you don't want to seen as a pushover. If everyone takes advantage of you, it can lead to stress and even depression.
So remember: it's okay to put yourself first at times: your own personal well-being is important too.
