Cat freed by mechanics after being stuck in van's exhaust
A group of mechanics had to rescue a cat from the underside of a van after it had been stuck in the exhaust for 12 hours.
The cat, Daisy had to be cut from the vehicle after she ran away from the people she was staying with the previous day.
The team of mechanics were unsure whether the cat was still alive, but once they saw she was, they began to dismantle the van.
The rescuing of Daisy was livestreamed on mechanic Jay Beisser's Facebook page from a workshop in Thurrock, Essex, with the process taking more than 12 minutes to cut the moggy free.
The cat, however, was reluctant to leave its hiding place, making the group's task even more challenging.
Daisy was eventually freed by being lifted through the engine bay of the Citroen Berlingo van and returned to her owner, who says that she is "doing fine."
