Anti-bullfighting protest in Bogota erupts in violence



Violence has erupted at a protest in Bogota, Colombia as thousands demonstrated against the return of bullfighting for the first time in four years.

Hundreds of protesters clashed with riot police and harassed spectators attending a bullfight.

Police had to fire tear gas to control the protesters on Sunday.

Many protestors shouted "murderers" and "torturers" while spitting and sometimes coming to blows with spectators made their way to the bullring, reports ABC.

There were several arrests.
