Thousands of Skittles turn road a sea of red
Pictures have emerged showing a road completely covered in red Skittles.
Thousands of red Skittles were strewn all over a the road in the US after a truck spill.

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office shared images of the scene on their Facebook page, and wrote: "At 8:51pm on Tuesday night, the Dodge County Sheriff's Office came across unusual items that were left in the road.
"Hundreds of thousands of Skittles were spilled on County Highway S near Blackbird Road.
"It is unclear who may have spilled the skittles on the road. The Dodge County Highway Department was asked to clean them off the road.
"While we don't know who did this, it is certainly clear that it may be difficult to "Taste the Rainbow" in its entirety with one coloor that likely fell off the truck!"
An later update then explained: "The Skittles were confirmed to have fallen off the back of a truck. The truck was a flatbed pickup and the Skittles were in a large box. Due to it raining at the time, the box got wet and gave way allowing the Skittles to spill out on the roadway.
"It is reported that the Skittles were intended to be feed for cattle as they did not make the cut for packaging at the company. In the end these Skittles are actually for the birds!"
A host of comments expressed shock, anger and surprise that Skittles would be fed to cattle.
One man wrote: "Where do you think the sugar and corn sugar content in the liquid feeds at the huge factory farms comes from? Of course they don't direct feed them skittles but they take the waste or non-sellable products (including candy) and process them into feed. This liquid feed is then mixed with other feed (alfalfa, cotton seed, corn silage etc for dairy cattle and probably feed it to beef as well."
One woman said: "My husband works on a HUGE cattle farm and they would NEVER do this! They actually pay someone to come in and test their feed to make sure they're getting the right nutrients."
