Family robbed at gunpoint after being followed home from airport

The moment a group of four men rob a family returning from holiday has been caught on CCTV.

The men followed the family home from OR Tampo International Airport, Johannesburg, and carried out the robbery in broad daylight right on their driveway.

The family car and trailer can be seen pulling into the house and, before there's time for the gate to close behind them, the men are through.

One pulls a gun out and opens the driver door, before asking for valuable and rifling through the car.

Another man goes to the passenger side and does the same thing. A third man starts looting from the trailer, while the fourth reverses the getaway car onto the drive to load up their stolen goods.

Over four minutes, the men can be seen taking everything from the car, including suitcases, bags, and a laptop. Calm and collected, they tell the family to stay in the car as they then drive off.

When they're gone, the family can be seen running into the house to call the police.

The video was shared on YouTube by the Crime Intelligence & Community Awareness (CICA) organisation to raise awareness of these kind of crimes in Johannesburg.
