Dog named after David Bowie in search of new home
David Bowie's son Duncan Jones is backing an appeal to rehome a dog named after his late father.
Lurcher cross Bowie was named as such because he boasts different coloured eyes, just like the pop icon, who passed away last January. David Bowie's eyes were both blue but they looked different because of an accident.

According to the BBC, the three-year-old dog has been at the Dog's Trust in Bridgend since November.
The trust kicked off 2017 with a number of appeals on social media to get their blue-eyed boy rehomed.

David Bowie's son saw the appeal and retweeted it, writing: "Hoping someone near that dog might be able to help him find a home."
Ricky Gervais has also backed the appeal, and the trust thanked the both, and said they hoped he would soon find his forever home.

Speaking to WalesOnline, Angela Wetherall, Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust Bridgend, said: "It's such a shame that Bowie has been overlooked so far, but we're confident we'll find a home for him soon.
"Despite the superstition that Friday the 13th brings bad luck, we're really hoping potential new owners will put any superstitions to one side and consider rehoming our blue-eyed boy Bowie."
Anyone who can help find a new home for Bowie should call Dogs Trust Bridgend on 0300 303 0292.
