Singer Stacy Francis joins Celebrity Big Brother house and is then 'edited out'

Updated

American singer Stacy Francis has been "edited" out of Celebrity Big Brother just hours after entering the house as part of the show's inaugural task.

The latest series of the hit Channel 5 show has been dubbed All Stars and New Stars, as former contestants are joined by other celebrities making their debut on the reality television programme.

As they entered the house, All Star celebrities were invited to become producers of the show and "edit" someone out of the programme over the first few days.

They were taken to a separate room to watch their fellow housemates arrive and decide who was to be frozen out.

Among those returning to the show was the son of former footballer George Best.

Calum Best, 35, a British-American model, was a housemate in 2015 and had a particularly nasty run-in with Perez Hilton, in which the American celebrity blogger used language pertaining to sexual assault.

He was joined by reality TV couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, dubbed "Speidi" by their fans, who competed in the 11th series of the show as one housemate in 2013.

Montag, 30, and Pratt, 33, said they are on a mission to "make Speidi famous again".

They were followed by former Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan, 38, and US model Jasmine Waltz, 36, who took part in the show in 2014.

Waltz was evicted early, but managed to stay in long enough to flash her breasts and start a romance with Blue star Lee Ryan.

American model and TV personality Austin Armacost joined the All Stars celebrities in the producers' room alongside singer-turned-TV presenter Coleen Nolan.

Armacost, 28, finished as a runner-up in 2015 whilst Nolan, 51, also finished second after appearing on the show in 2012.

Another former housemate to join the celebrity producers was glamour model Nicola McLean, 35, who has also previously braved I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!

Meanwhile Best was left visibly shocked as he saw his mother, Angie Best, 64, enter the house alongside the New Star celebrities.

She joined fellow New Stars, American singer and songwriter Ray J Norwood, 35, who is best known in the UK for starring in a leaked sex tape with Kim Kardashian, and stepdaughter of former England international footballer Paul Gascoigne, Bianca Gascoigne, 30.

Scottish actor James Cosmo, 69, who has starred in films including Braveheart and Trainspotting, and 90s DJ Brandon Block also entered the house as well as former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara, 30.

All were spared from being edited out as the producers opted for Francis - known for appearing on the American version of The X Factor in 2011.

The 47-year-old looked emotional after she was told she would be forced to wear a beige tracksuit with "edited out" on the back and would initially be deprived of her personal belongings.

Meanwhile, American television presenter and blogger Hilton said he was not going into the house as rumoured in a post on Twitter.

He said: "They blew all their money on @RayJ and didn't give me the fee I felt I deserved. x"

As the show ended, CBB presenter Emma Willis revealed two additional celebrities would enter the house on Friday.
