The first Ford GT has rolled off the production line at the company's Canadian factory.
Raj Nair, executive vice president of Ford, drove a black GT sporting orange stripes as staff applauded.
The Blue Oval's executive chairman Bill Ford will receive chassis number one, but it is believed the car filmed here will be used as a marketing vehicle.
Ford is limiting production of the GT to 250 cars per year, with the initial run of 500 cars doubled because of unexpectedly high demand – about 6,000 people applied for the chance to buy one.
The full price of the car has not been officially revealed, but bosses have hinted that those buyers lucky enough to be selected will have to cough up £300,000.
