Customer asks restaurant to stop 'offensive' Christmas music

At this time of year you'll hear Christmas music most places that you go.

A restaurant manager and chef in St Augustine, Florida, USA, was surprised to find this note from a customer complaining the Christmas music was offensive.

The message reads: "Christmas music was offensive. Consider playing 'holiday' music or less religious themed."

However the restaurant found that it had plenty of support on social media.

Lori Simpson wrote on Facebook, saying: "Why would anyone want to prohibit you from enjoying your religion. Aren't we free to?

"To think someone has the right to go in to an establishment and suggest that they should not practice this freedom is ridiculous. We should start respecting one another's freedoms and learning from them."

Another member of the public wrote: "Play what you want. Enjoy the season and the Grinch should eat elsewhere if he doesn't like your music. Merry Christmas to you and your family!"
