Pub puts beer for dogs on the menu

The Hopwater Cellar in Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire, is now stocking Snuffle Dog Beer in chicken and beef flavours.

It is believed to be similar to gravy with no alcohol content and is perfectly safe for pooches to drink.

Landlord Craig Armstrong, aged 52, from May Bank, said: "It is a zero per cent Belgian beer designed and brewed for dogs."

"It's alcohol free and it's good for a healthy dog!

"We have quite a number of customers who come in with their dogs just for the beer - which they can have whilst they're here or take it home with them."
