Shocking moment traffic warden is knocked down by car

Bodycam footage shows the terrifying moment a traffic warden was hit by a car after issuing a parking ticket.

Kent Police have released the video in an appeal for information about the driver.

Traffic warden David Drury had asked the driver to move his car off zigzag lines beside a pedestrian crossing.

He then began issuing and printing a ticket, at which point the driver climbed into his car and drove into the warden.

The video shows the black saloon accelerating directly towards Drury, who is knocked on to the pavement.

The incident happened on July 8 on High Street, Eastchurch, on the Isle of Sheppey. No arrests were made at the time, but police have now released the footage along with an image of a man they want to question.
