Lola F1 car modified for road use goes up for sale

Most motorsport fans could only dream of driving a genuine Formula 1 car. The opportunity to get behind the wheel is granted to only a select few, and even when former racers do come up for sale, most are without an engine or other key parts hidden away by secretive engineers.

So when a road-legal F1 car's offered at auction it's understandably of great interest. This 'F1 car' is the result of a wager that challenged designers and engineers at Lola to create a road car that looked just like the single-seater racers.
