Danny Dyer's Who Do You Think You Are? episode is the best hour of TV you'll ever see
Tonight's opening episode of the new series of Who Do You Think You Are? may just have been the best programme ever to have been shown on television.
Our subject was Danny Dyer, a man entertaining enough in himself to make it a must watch, but then came the biggest revelation ever seen on the show.
Danny Dyer, aka Mick Carter in EastEnders, is a descendant of Edward III
Let us take you through it in tweets...
From the off, viewers knew this might be the best thing to happen all year.
There was an enormous amount of love for Danny.
Although he really played up his Cockney image.
Danny's demeanour was an inspiration to many.
At one point he actually used the phrase "severe readies" when told his ancestors were rich.
Then came the bombshell - he's related to Thomas Cromwell.
But apparently wasn't a Wolf Hall viewer.
Can't you see the resemblance?
Danny visited his ancestors' gaff - Hampton Court Palace.
But there was more to come - he's also related to Edward III.
As the episode ended with Danny telling his wife, who ran inside their house screaming "I'm a princess", we all agreed this was an amazing hour.
All rise for His Royal Highness, Danny Dyer!
