Grandad given speeding ticket for doing 42mph on scooter that can only hit 8mph

A pensioner has been given a speeding ticket for travelling at 42mph on his mobility scooter, which is only capable of 8mph.

James Roberts, 74, says he thought it was 'a joke' because his scooter is incapable of such speeds and he was resting after triple heart surgery when the alleged incident took place.
