Ex-bank premises offer cash machine bonus for new owners

Two commercial properties are set to become cash machines for new owners - quite literally.

The former NatWest Bank premises in South Devon are coming to auction - complete with fully functioning cash machines still in service.

They are among the lots listed for sale by the regional land and property auctioneers Clive Emson in Cornwall in December.

NatWest has instructed the freehold sales of the commercial properties at Bedford House in The Square at Chagford in the Dartmoor National Park and at 55-57 Fore Street in Heavitree, Exeter.

Available separately, the Chagford property has a guide price of £100,000 to £125,000 and the Exeter premises have a guide of £150,000 to £175,000.

On completion of sales, the in-situ cashpoints will be let to NatWest for five years at £500 per annum and £3,000 per annum respectively.

Auctioneer Scott Gray said: "This is a rare opportunity to acquire substantial buildings both in prime locations.

"They offer continued commercial possibilities or residential development opportunities subject to the necessary consents.

"As well as being potential rent machines, these properties are quite literally cash machines too."
