Qatar Airways has been named the world's best airline for its customer service, beating the likes of Emirates, British Airways and Singapore Airlines.

The Middle Eastern carrier was the top performer in AirHelp's list of 78 airlines based on quality and service, on-time departure statistics and efficiency in processing passenger claims.
Virgin Atlantic was the best UK airline ranking sixth, while Easyjet came 62nd in the list, making it the worst performing British airline. The low-cost carrier was even beaten by its Irish rival Ryanair which was placed 48th in the list of airlines around the world.
British Airways came 14th, followed by Flybe (21st) and Jet2.com (35th) in the top five UK airlines for customer service.
European carriers fared better, with Italy's Air Dolomiti placed second after Qatar Airways, Austrian Airlines in third place and KLM named the fifth best airline. Singapore Airlines took the fourth spot.
Sitting at the bottom of the table was Turkey's Onur Air (78th), Air China (77th), Egyptair (76th) and Air Algerie (75th).
In another airline ranking released this week, Air New Zealand was named the best in the world for the fourth consecutive year at the 2017 Airline Excellence Awards. Qantas took the second spot, followed by Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Virgin Atlantic. British Airways came sixth in the list, while the only Middle Eastern airline to feature in the top ten was Etihad Airways, which took seventh place.
