The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars infamously admitted multiple counts of fraud, after building up a cool $13 million (£10.4 million) in debt. Teresa has already served 11 months in prison while Joe is currently serving his 41 month sentence.

The lifestyle queen famously served five months in prison for lying to investigators about insider trading in 2004.

Lindsey Lohan

The IRS (Inland Revenue Service) came after the actress in 2012 for unpaid taxes in 2009 and 2010 which totalled $140,203.30 (£112,848).

Britney Spears

Then there's the big overspending mistakes.This popstar once revealed she had spent almost $38,000 (£30,585) on pet care and $68,000 on pampering herself in 2015.
