Wonder Woman pledges to save the world in film's action-packed new trailer
The hype is mounting ahead of the new Wonder Woman movie and, judging by the newly-released trailer, the excitement is only going to grow.
Gal Gadot looks fierce and sensational as the superhero in the forthcoming DC Comics film, set for release next summer.
The trailer sees Wonder Woman - otherwise known as Diana Prince - at home on Paradise Island before an American pilot, played by Chris Pine, crash-lands and tells her that there is a war happening in the outside world.
After living her sheltered life, raised as princess of the Amazons, she leaves her home in order to save the world from destruction.
While fighting alongside man in the most threatening war the world has seen, Diana will discover her full powers and her true destiny as Wonder Woman.
Highlights from the trailer include some seriously action-packed fight scenes with moments that blur the line between CGI and reality, and a brilliant jokey interlude from The Office star Lucy Davis.
There is also a hint at a romance with Chris' pilot, Steve Trevor.
Gal is reprising her role as Wonder Woman after first bringing to life the iconic comic book character on-screen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
The film, the latest in the DC extended universe, also stars Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright and David Thewlis, and is directed by Patty Jenkins.
Wonder Woman will be released in cinemas on June 2 2017.
