Toyota recalls another 5.8 million cars over Takata airbags



Toyota it is recalling 5.8 million more cars across the globe over potentially faulty airbag inflators made by Takata.

The latest recall comes as part of the ongoing recall of Takata products, which began in 2008. Faulty inflators use a chemical compound that can explode with excessive force if left in hot conditions for too long. It has resulted in at least 16 deaths globally, mainly in the United States.
