OMG! These pumpkins grew with Frankenstein's face on them
Halloween is a creepy night full of scary fancy dress, trick-or-treaters and fear.
But husband and wife Emily, 29, and Guy French, 31, of Foxes Farm Produce, have made it even more haunting by growing Frankenstein's face on to the front of their pumpkins.
The Colchester farmers have been branded the "Pumpkin-steins" and are thought to be the first creators of freaky shaped pumpkins grown in the UK.
Emily said: "We saw that pumpkins were becoming more in demand because of the huge popularity of Halloween in America and we wanted to see what we could do next in our business to stay ahead of the game.
"We grow thousands of pumpkins every year, and we just wanted to come up with something different. They are the perfect pumpkins - they look spooky already and don't need much carving."
The Essex pair took inspiration from America when adding another freaky dimension to their crop. A mould is attached to baby pumpkins which develop into the scary shape as the vegetable grows.
The pair have already grown 20 pumpkins with the face of novelist Mary Shelley's tragic villain - and next year plan to do more.
The pumpkins are not currently on sale.
