Adam Vinatieri has kicked some of the most memorable field goals in NFL history and he booted another one for the record books on Sunday.
Vinatieri's 33-yard field goal in the third quarter gave the Indianapolis Colts a 20-13 lead over the Tennessee Titans, before going on to win 34-26.
It was also Vinatieri's NFL-record 43rd consecutive field goal.
Ironically, Vinatieri broke the mark held by former Colts kicker Mike Vanderjagt, whom he replaced in 2006.
Vinatieri, who will turn 44 in December, has not missed a field goal since Week 2 of the 2015 season.
Vinatieri began his career with the New England Patriots, where he kicked the game-winning field goals in Super Bowls XXXVI and XXXVIII, as well as in the 2001 AFC playoffs against the Oakland Raiders in blizzard-like conditions in the 'Tuck Rule' game.
