Failed overtake causes two BMW race cars to crash at the Nurburgring
The famous Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit didn't earn the nickname The Green Hell for nothing.
It's 13 miles of twisting, turning Tarmac through the Eifel mountains in Germany that has claimed many lives since it was built.
Racing there is the dream for many drivers, and getting to the finish line is an achievement. So it's easy to understand why this BMW racer was so angry after being shunted off by an opponent recently.
The video begins with two BMW M3s – one green followed by one blue and white – approaching the right turn before the famous Wehrseifen left-hander.
The blue and white car makes a move to the outside, before darting up the inside into the corner. The attempted overtake was ambitious as there wasn't much hope of him slowing down in time.
He hits the rear of the green car sending both into the barrier and ending both drivers' race. The driver of the green M3 is understandably unhappy with the outcome, using his helmet to try to hit his opponent.
