MPs could be given a vote to strip Sir Philip Green of his knighthood when they debate the collapse of BHS.

They are to debate a motion that "the sale of the company to Retail Acquisitions Limited for £1 was clearly not in the interests of British Home Stores' employees and pensioners".

The company later folded with a pension deficit of nearly £600m. Sir Philip's family had received £400m in dividends.
