UK police made more than £1.6m from seizing uninsured cars



Police forces across the UK made a combined total of more than £1.6million by seizing cars from uninsured drivers in just six months.

Research by Churchill Car Insurance revealed that forces in England and Wales had confiscated 22,594 cars within the first six months of 2016. Of those cars, a number were sold or scrapped, with the money made going directly back to the 43 police forces.
