Tom Hanks photobombs couple's wedding pictures

If you didn't love Tom Hanks already, you will now - after the actor made a couple's day by posing with them for their wedding photos.

The Hollywood actor happened to be taking a run in Central Park, New York, when he spotted the newlyweds having their pictures taken and decided to photobomb them.

Elisabeth and Ryan looked to be over the moon about the situation if her face is anything to go by.

The Metro reports that the photos were taken by photographer Meg Miller, and posted on to Imgur by her friend.

Thousands of people commented on the photos on Imgur. One joked: "I bet they T.Hank-ed him for stopping by."

Others played on his film lines, with one writing: "He may not be a smart man, but he knows what love is."

According to ITV News, Meg Miller said she was taking the pictures when Hanks came over, took off his glasses and hat, and said: "Hi, I'm Tom Hanks."

After posing for a few snaps together, the couple invited him to their wedding reception, but the actor politely declined.

He did, however, post a picture on his Instagram page of the selfie he took with the happy couple.

His followers described him as a 'legend' and a 'gentleman'. And we have to agree.
