Tesla Model S fire caused by 'bad electrical connection'

Tesla has determined that the fire that destroyed a Model S last month was caused by a bad electrical connection.

The incident, which occurred on the company's Electric Road Trip test drive event in France, saw the fully-electric saloon combust in spectacular fashion after the occupants heard a loud noise and pulled the car over. None of the three people in the vehicle were injured.
