In a marvellous post to the Porthcawl First group, Debbie Mottley, who moved from London to Porthcawl, vented her feelings after a late-night disturbance by the "so called gang" who call themselves the 'SPT', for South Porthcawl Town.

The 46-year-old wrote: "To the boys who were kicking cars and knocking doors last night in Picton Avenue and surrounding areas, just a couple of points.

"1. I know who you are. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work it out when at least three of you asked to join Porthcawl First about half an hour after the incident to see if we were talking about you.

"2. It is not cool to add SPT to your name, it makes you sound like an idiot. I policed South London in the 90s and dealt with some of the toughest gangs this country has to offer. You, on the other hand, are in Porthcawl , not the 'hood' ...I know your parents and they are nice people.

"3. If you knew anything about gang culture you would realise that you should respect your own 'hood' and pick your fights with your neighbouring gangs which in this case would be North Cornelly who, I suspect would whoop your pathetic asses back to your four bedroom detached houses where the nearest you've ever been to getting 'tooled up' is when you used to play with your Bob the Builder workman bench."

The brilliant post has received praise from the Porthcawl First group and its members, with one writing: "Quite possibly the best post I've ever seen on here."

Another said: "This wins the internet today. I'm howling!"
