Busted announce comeback album Night Driver

Busted are gearing up to release their first album in 13 years, revealing the title: Night Driver.

The trio, comprised of Matt Willis, Charlie Simpson and James Bourne, will release the long-awaited album on November 11 - and fans should expect a very different sound to the old Busted classics.

Matt said: "As soon as we started making music it became very apparent that we all wanted to make exactly the same thing. We'd been listening to dance and pop producers like Skrillex and Max Martin who both started off in rock bands."

James added: "The last thing we wanted to do was try to recreate what we used to have. It belongs to that time. All real artists evolve, all real artists try things, it's unnatural not to."

Busted broke up in January 2005, but unexpectedly reunited in November 2015, announcing they were going on tour and bringing out new music. The surprise tour, appropriately, was called Pigs Can Fly.

However, they will not be returning to their pop-punk heyday.

Charlie explained: "On this record we're older, we've had completely different experiences than what we'd have been talking about 10 years ago. It's an authentic reflection of who we are today."
