Three UK winners continue EuroMillions lucky streak by scooping £6.5m each

Three UK winners have scooped around £6.5 million each as five ticketholders shared Friday's EuroMillions jackpot.

The winning numbers were 08, 16, 32, 40 and 50 and the lucky stars were 02 and 11.

The three British winners matched all seven numbers to win £6,567,504.30 each.

It comes weeks after a family collected £61.1 million, having only bought the ticket after their mother rang from her holiday in Florida to say she was feeling lucky.

The five-strong syndicate made up of Stephanie Davies, 23, her boyfriend Steve Powell, 30, her sister Courtney, 19, their mum Sonia, 53, and Sonia's partner Keith Reynolds, 55, from Monmouth, hit the jackpot on July 29.

Andy Carter, senior winners' advisor at the National Lottery, said: "The UK's lucky streak is never ending - not one but three more EuroMillions winners land on our shore, each scooping £6,567,504.30.

"It comes just weeks after Stephanie Davies and family from Monmouth banked £61 million and brings the total for 2016 to seven UK EuroMillions jackpot winners.

"The National Lottery is making more millionaires than ever and we urge all players to check their tickets and email, so they can bank the life changing win as soon as possible."

One UK millionaire was created in Friday's Millionaire Maker Selection NVJ 898067.

Nine ticketholders across all countries matched five numbers and one lucky star, winning £105,444.60 and 21 people matched five numbers to win £15,063.50.

There were no winners of the top prize in the Thunderball.

The winning numbers were 22, 34, 30, 05 and 11 and the Thunderball number was 04.

Four people matched five numbers, taking home £250 each.

The jackpot for Tuesday's draw is estimated £12 million.
