Chris Hemsworth dives into pool at luxury Australian retreat

Thor star Chris Hemsworth is enjoying an idyllic holiday in his native Australia, soaking up the sunshine and beautiful scenery with his wide Elsa Pataky on Hamilton Island.

The pair are staying at exclusive resort Qualia in the heart of Whitsundays, where Chris was pictured diving into the hotel's pool.

Elsa shared photos of the actor with her 954,000 Instagram followers, writing: "Teaching my bird @chrishemsworth to fly."

In one snap shared by Chris, he is seen posing shirtless in front of a beach after a morning walk, with the blue sky and idyllic water behind him.

Chris is no stranger to holidaying at home and has previously shared his favourite experiences in Australia.

"Growing up in Australia, you can sometimes take it all for granted," he said. "But after being away for ten years and coming back, exploring some of the most beautiful places I've ever seen has reminded me how unique and impressive Australia is, and how lucky we are."

On a past trip to the Great Barrier Reef staying on Hayman Island, he revealed diving the Great Barrier Reef, exploring Whitehaven Beach and staying at One&Only Hayman Island as three of his favourite experiences.
